We are honored that you want to support our work, however, at this immediate time we have limited needs. With COVID our work has changed quite a bit. For the most part Opal now spends her days doing zoom presentations for law enforcement, community and faith-based groups, social services and school districts.
We are in the process of having a documentary filmed (ready for release the first part of 2021) that will be distributed to schools across the U.S. to educate young people about some of the dangers.
We are also looking to develop a team to work on the Million Kids Missing Kids program. Reaching out to police departments so they can let parents know about Million Kids and how we can assist if their child is a runaway or missing, as well as coordinating with church groups to build the network of people who can assist with spreading the word about a missing child. The estimate is that approximately one out of six children who is missing will be sexually exploited within 48 hours and so we need to find them quickly.
We anticipate we may need assistance in the near future and so are creating a list of those who have asked about volunteering. If either of those projects is of interest, or you have your own idea, let us know by going to the Contact tab and sending us a message and we will reach out as the needs increase.
In the meantime, if you haven't already, sign up to "like" Million Kids on Facebook (@IEMillionKids) and also sign up for the newsletter on this website's Home page. You can also follow us on Instagram at _millionkids_. You will be informed of local cases and most important you will receive the flyers for runaway and missing kids. It really helps if you use your network to spread the word about the missing kids so we can find them as quickly as possible.
We look forward to meeting you in the future.
Until then, stay safe and take care and again a big THANK YOU!
